Workshops, Pop-Ups & Events
You can visit the cafe seven days a week to get your painting fix, but we also love to take Creative Biscuit on the road. If you have an event you'd like us to pop up at get in touch and check out below for events already in our diary.

On the second and fourth Thursday of every month we host a Late Night Painting evening, where we keep the doors open until 10pm (last admittance 8.30pm) so you can get making and creating - you can even bring your own drinks if you wish.
​
We also regularly host craft workshops with expert tutors (such as weaving, printing, sewing and floral workshops to name a few) so you can learn a new skill, brush up on an old one and have a unique evening out...
Kid's Clay Club
Every Thursday - Term Time
Play with clay at our weekly drop in sessions! Every Thursday you can come to the cafe and get creative with clay and create your own pottery pieces.
Tim will be on hand to give advice and fire your finished items, but you what you make is totally up to you!
£12 per person - Clay and first firing.
£12 per person - Return to paint, glazing and second firing of clay.

Bauble painting at The Duke
Weds 10 Dec, 4pm-5.30pm
Paint ceramic baubles to decorate your Christmas tree. All ages welcome.
​
In this workshop you will paint one large ceramic bauble in any style you like, we will then take away the ceramics to glaze and fire in the kiln so your designs will last for years to come.
​
Your £16 ticket will include one large bauble. We will also bring along other ceramics, such as cups, plates and a variety of Christmas ceramics which can be paid for on the day.
All ceramics will be glazed and ready to pick up from the cafe one week later.

Winter Wreath Workshops

Create a beautiful natural wreath to hang on your front door in this relaxed workshop with florist Sweet Pea Rosa.

Pick from a mulled wine or a hot chocolate to sip on while you create your wreath with Sally (Sweet Pea Rosa), who will show you step-by-step how to create the wreath using foliage, herbs, berries and pine cones as well as lots of other seasonal decorations (and feel free to bring anything that you have at home that you would like to incorporate). You will then finish your wreath with a choice of luxury ribbons so it’s ready to hang when you get home.

Cost: £60 per person (includes all tools and materials to make your wreath, plus a mulled wine or hot chocolate and festive snacks)

Pottery painting with E4 Under 4
Sat 15 Nov, 1.30-3.30pm
Get in the mood for Christmas, make some presents, create heirloom ornaments and be creative with our pottery painting pop up at 228 Chingford Mount with E4 Under 4.
We will be bringing Christmas themed ceramics from baubles to star plates, reindeers to Christmas trees, as well as cups, plates and bowls to paint on. Ceramics are then glazed and fired in our kiln so they last forever. All ages are welcome, and we can help you to get baby hand and footprints too.
Tickets cost £4 per painter, then you pay for the ceramics you choose on the day.
